Turing Award Winners

The ACM History Committee is embarking on an ambitious multi-year project to significantly augment the content of the ACM Turing Award web site. Each Turing Awardee will be assigned a curator who will be responsible for gathering information for the web page for that awardee. At this initial stage, three curators have been appointed.

We anticipate that each page will contain the following information.
  • Text of citation
  • Turing Award Lecture
  • Impact (explanation of contributions for a general audience)
  • Biography (Short but complete summary of the awardee's early life, education, and major positions held in career)
  • Contributions (explanation of awardee's research contributions, for a Computer Science-cognizant audience)
  • Systems
  • Vita (with sections on education, employment history, professional honors, professional affiliations, publications, but see next section)
  • Publications (link to ACM author profile page for awardee)
  • Interviews and articles about awardee
  • Acknowledgments
